Zoo + Train = FUN!!

Another trip to the zoo! The weather has been so beautiful lately that we are spending several hours outside every day. I LOVE this time of year! It's sunny and just the right temperature. A month or two we will be searching for indoor activities but right now we are enjoying being outside!

Peter is learning more animals every day. He can only name a few but he can point a bunch out in books. One of his favorites is the turtle. He got a stuffed turtle from Grandma and Grandpa Palmer when we were in Guam and its home is in the car. Peter holds it on car trips, gives it kisses and uses it as a pillow. He likes looking for turtles every time we go to the zoo.

Peter also likes watching the elephants. Sometimes we're lucky and they come right up to the fence, but not today.

The park around the zoo has a cute little train ride you can go on for $2. Since Peter is so obsessed with trains I usually try to go for a ride before we head home.

It takes us on a trip around the lake. We wave "Hi" at the people having picnics and at the ducks in the water.

This trip they even stopped the train because there was a turtle in the water! How exciting! We saw a turtle in the "wild"!
