Easter Outing

Some of our friends invited us to their church's Easter Egg-stravaganza this weekend. It was in a different part of town called Dove Mountain at a beautiful grassy park (always a luxury in Tucson.) They had a couple bouncy houses and homemade carnival games. One of Peter's favorite parts was the big grassy hill. We took our shoes off and ran around barefoot all afternoon.

Peter's friends started to roll down the hill, something Peter has never done! So Peter tried to do it himself. He didn't quite get it though because he rolled sideways on the hill instead of down it. But it was a blast anyways!

He thought it was MUCH more fun to RUN down the hill with his "buddies". "Buddy, run!" he would say. His friend Alicia acts like Peter's older brother. She would hold his hand and lead him around the festival. They loved running up and down the big hill together.

Oh no! Mommy clicked the camera just as Peter fell down the hill! His feet can't always keep up with his body when he runs so fast. I have a feeling it will be a long summer of bumps and scrapes. I now carry band-aids everywhere I go.

Poor Peter needed some cuddles from mom.

A quick snack of apple-carrot juice and he was ready to go again.

This time he decided to play it safe and ran towards the bouncy houses, his buddy trailing behind him.
