Tykes Trikes Race

This morning we headed to the park with Peter's big wheel tricycle for a trike race with some of our friends. It was the cutest thing, they had set up a start line on the sidewalk, colored arrows with sidewalk chalk to show the path, and even had streamers and bubbles at the finish line.

Peter had the only big wheel in the race. Most everyone else had a radio flyer so he was unique. He still doesn't know how to do pedals but he can race around in circles using his feet.

All the mommies cheered him on! I didn't have a camera so the other moms offered to take pictures for me! So happy they do that!

After a few laps around the playground they took a break to play for a bit while the moms set up an obstacle course. There were towers, a bubble storm, cones to swerve through, and bubble wrap speedbumps.

There was even a balloon course to drive through. Peter was loving this new element to cycling. We'll have to set up some obstacles at home for him to maneuver through.

Peter made it over the finish line and received a nice certificate of completion. Go Peter!
