Last Summer BBQ

Yesterday marked the last "summer" BBQ of the year at the Tucson Racquetball Club. We have had so much fun going there on Friday nights to play in the pool and run around the tennis courts with our friends. It has warmed back up into the mid-90's here so we decided it was still warm enough for one last dip in the pool.

Peter LOVES swimming there because they have a kiddie pool where the water only comes up to his waist. He get so excited when he sees the pool, he'd just jump right in if we let him.

He spends the whole time splashing and just walking around in the water. As the sun set it got a little cold when he got out of the water and he figured out how to crouch down to keep his shoulders wet and warm. Smart kid!

Every once in a while he will lose his balance and dip under into the water and we race to grab him back up. He doesn't seem to mind though. He comes up with a big smile while the water runs down his face.

As the sun got lower in the sky we got out of the pool so I could put him in some warm pajamas. He then got to climb on the playground and run around the tennis courts.

As the sun set we got some hot dogs, watermelon, and chips and ate our food while listening to blues music with our friends. Peter would eat the entire rind if I didn't take it away. This time he actually offered another kid to trade his empty watermelon rind for a tennis ball. That's a good trade right??
