Finger Painting at the Park

Monday morning we headed out early to go to the park for a finger painting play date. It was a beautiful day!

We got there a little early so Peter could have some alone time to play on the playground before it got to hot. Instead though he was fascinated by the big muddy puddles. Oh no! What did I teach him by going to the mud pits!!! He ended up covered with mud up to his chest. Yuck!

Peter also went around to say hello to the turtle statue.

He liked to pet its nose.

We did some finger painting with our friends. It was a little too messy for mom to take pictures AND help Peter paint so all I got was a few after shots. He liked smearing the paint all over, but he it wasn't nearly as much fun as everything else at the park.

Peter quickly got down from the table and started grabbing at people, stealing another kids drink and getting his painted fingers all covered in dirt. We both were smeared with bright red and orange paint that morning. Thankfully it all came out in the wash!

After cleaning his hands up Peter just kept playing and playing. We stayed at the park over 2 hours! He was so exhausted by the end, but he sure had fun!
