The Streaker

Friday we went to the splash park again and had a lot of fun. It's been in the hundreds nearly every day this week so its nice to get a chance to cool off. John was off work and able to join us so he came and helped show Peter how to get wet. He is still a little scared of all the water spraying everywhere but he wanders around the perimeter and stomps his feet. Good enough for now.


After playing we went to take Peter's clothes off and let him go FREE in the field. He has had a bad yeast infection diaper rash this week...his poor bottom was actually bleeding from it. I called the doctor and he said to get an antifungal cream and to let him be diaper-free for half the day, preferably in the sun. He's also getting vinegar baths every day.


It has been a bit crazy trying to let him be without a diaper for half the day. We've had to clean up a few accidents in the house. The worst one was when he peed on the floor in the kitchen. He ended up stepping in it and slipping, he started crying but kept trying to stand up and fell over and over again. Poor boy! He got a bath real quick after that one!


After splashing at the park we let him run around for a few minutes to let his bottom dry fully. It was so funny to see this little naked baby toddle around the soccer field. A few of the other kids were pointing at him and giggling but he didn't care.


On the plus side his bottom seems to be getting better. And he's still full of energy. He's a crazy baby!
